Anna Saldo-Burke is a career teacher for North Adams Public Schools. In 2010 she taught a Grade 3 Inclusive Education classroom, in which Special Needs students are educated within General Education settings.
Anna earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree, a Master in Education degree, and a Doctorate in Education degree. She is certified to teach in both Elementary Education - Grades K-8 and Special Education in the state of Massachusetts.
-designed and managed a high school vocational training program for Special Education students.
-developed and implemented a middle school Life Skills Program for students with Down syndrome and Autism.
-operated a classroom for significantly disabled students.
-established and conducted elementary school Resource Room classrooms for Special Education students.
-taught a Grade 5 Inclusive Education classroom.
Her teaching career began in North Adams, Massachusetts. Anna designed and ran a high school vocational training program for Special Education students. She has been a Vocational Specialist for the Berkshire County Association for Retarded Citizens.
Anna returned to teaching for the North Adams Public Schools, and developed and implemented a middle school Life Skills Program for students with Down syndrome and Autism. She taught a classroom for significantly mentally and physically disabled students.
For several years, she taught elementary school Resource Room classrooms for Special Education students and provided academic pullout services. She taught Grade 3 & 5 Inclusive Education classrooms.
Anna has a long time friendship with an autistic woman, providing her with a unique experience with autism.

Diana has a Master of Arts degree in Art, with a concentration in design and specialization in illustration.

-Ladies Auxiliary to the Dr. Deorge l. Curran VFW Post 996 Citizenship Award 2010 for outstanding citizenship.
-Time Warner Cable 2008-2009 National Teacher Awards Finalist, for developing and executing projects that represent the best efforts happening in schools across the country.
-Teaching for Democracy Award 2008, for outstanding contributions in Community Service-Learning.
-Emily M. West Citizenship Award 2008, for teaching the youth of our community the true meaning of patriotism and citizenship.
-Community Recognition Educator Award, for involving students in local and world-wide community programs.
-Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States 2003-2004 National Citizenship Education Teacher Award Elementary School Level, for being selected the state teacher winner in her grade category for outstanding and dedicated service.
-The Berkshire Red Cross Centennial Award 2001, for outstanding commitment to her students.
-American Legion Auxiliary Certificate of Appreciation 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 in recognition and sincere appreciation of outstanding service.
-Army National Guard Certificate of Outstanding Achievement 2008, for supporting the United States Military Services.
